Figure 40 : The combined use of column chromatography plus planar chromatography is very much better than any HPLC / MS / MS concept. Much more economical, much more powerful for even utmost complicated separation. Well: finally MS may be necessary but on the plate only after a cut-separation is finished and the mobile phases completely removed.
